Disruption Projects

Research projects and collaboration efforts

The PSFC Disruptions team is passionately engaged in pioneering work, committed to advancing the frontiers of nuclear fusion and plasma science for a sustainable energy future. Here you will find the innovative research projects spearheaded by our accomplished graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and staff scientists. With a focus on fostering an inclusive environment for collaboration, our collective pursuit is poised to unravel the complexities of fusion plasmas' disruptions and pre-disruptive events, also with the use of advanced computational techniques and Machine Learning. We target solutions for existing experimental machines, next generation fusion devices like ITER and SPARC, and reactor-relevant scenarios.
